Albany Park Bikes aims to foster a new generation of bicycle enthusiasts and active transportation commuters. We offer a safe and educational environment for local youth to learn about bicycle maintenance and safety, where they can develop productive skills and feel part of a broader community.
APB has appeared in Momentum Magazine, TimeOut Chicago magazine, and the NEIU Independent newspaper.
Albany Park Bikes' vision is to reach out, educate and teach the under-served youth of the community it represents. One way to achieve this goal is by help make our streets in this community safer . Our second way will be building a network of future bike commuters. To teach them how to commute and get around on a bike, all while doing it in a safe manner. This includes the proper rules of the road along with safety tips on bike riding.
